21-day challenge: a simplified pantry

Christmas is hard on our house. Add traveling  and a four day hospital stay to the mix, and things really get crazy…and not in a good way.

I started by putting away some of the coats that were in here. While there are still a few too many, at least we have room.

Then, I straightened up the cans. What I found was before, when we had all of the cans just jumbled up, I bought lots of duplicates because I didn’t know what we had.

I also emptied all the baskets and made sure things were in the proper places.

Speaking of baskets, I also downloaded these handy dandy printable labels from Wordlabel. Then, I printed them, laminated them, and I labeled away.

I addressed the missing label problem and I made my space more beautiful. Win, win.

I also pared down our pastas and baked goods to things we regularly use. It felt wonderful and it made more room.

Let’s look at the before and after again:

Not too shabby, huh?
