21-day challenge: garage

Our garage works hard for us, but lately we haven’t been working hard to keep it organized.

Our unfinished garage has three of four walls that are still studs. It also has a nonfloored attic. On any given day, it holds two cars, our kids’ outdoor and ride on toys…and a whole bunch of crap we don’t need.

The previous owner DIYed some shelves and a workbench but neither work well for us.

We are doing a little at a time, since garage organizing is costly.

We want to get some new shelves, better organize our tool area, and buy a few of these.

If money was no object, I’d choose this:

Ted’s Woodworking
In the meantime, decluttering doesn’t cost a thing! We put everything away, swept out the garage, and hauled a truck load to the trash dump.

Here’s what we ended up with:

Certainly not perfect, but definitely way better.

And here’s what’s coming up next on the 21-day challenge.

Have a wonderful week.
