Decorating a dining room on a budget

We have so many rooms that are “in progress” in our home. As much as I’d love to finish it right now, Rome wasn’t built in a day, and house renovations are never cheap.

Our dining room has undergone something of a metamorphosis since we moved in four years ago.

So dark. So blank. So empty.

One of our first upgrades was to buy new furniture. We found this set on Craigslist.

Next, we added the curtains and the rug.

Next, we added a botanical gallery wall.

We also have started decorating this blank space above our China cabinet.

Next on the list:

We plan to square off this arch and close up this awkward pass through.

We also plan to replace our chandelier.

I cannot believe we are so close to completing this room.
