Farmhouse Fridays: a DIY distressed coat rack

I’ve wanted a little extra storage in the hall bathroom for awhile now. I loved those antiqued coat racks but they are so expensive. I decided to go the DIY route.
I had this awesome board with this fabulous weathering already.

Then I bought these three distressed hooks from Hobby Lobby for $3 each.

I was loving the weathering but it didn’t look so great in our bathroom. When I was chalk painting my jars last week, I decided to try it out.

I touched the brush to the board and I was done.

And then I let it dry for a few days before attaching the hooks.
I realize it looks lost on that wall, but it’s the perfect size when it’s filled.

It would be perfect in the kitchen as well for hanging aprons.
