Re-organized entry

We have a sofa table in our entryway. It’s nice to have, but what isn’t so nice is that it catches everything. We all have a problem just sitting things on it until it’s piled up and cluttered. Did I mention it’s right inside the door?

If it isn’t catching things on the table top, we’re leaving things on the floor below it. See the glass jar on the floor in the picture?

We do have these really great baskets in the cubbies, but just like the table top,we’re bad to leave things there that should be put away.  This week, we went through those baskets and straightened up.

We started by throwing away any unneeded papers. We put the pencils and music CDs away, and put the box tops in my school bag so I could take them to work.  We sorted and purged and put away until we were left with this:

And that random vase? We put it away, too. We’re still trying not to let the table top catch things, but we are doing  better.
