Repurposed: a child’s toy organizer becomes a Christmas card caddy

I love Christmas cards. I love sending them and I love finding the mailbox full of them. I also love holding onto them and looking at how much everyone has changed over the years.

Since sending Christmas cards can be stressful, I decided to make life easier by putting everything in one place. I was looking for a cutlery tray when I happened upon this wooden box in my kids’ playroom. We weren’t using it anymore, and it was once used to organize Melissa and Doug stamps.

I lined that guy with scrapbook paper first. Then, I covered it with red duct tape and trimmed out the edges with washi tape.

It isn’t perfect. The washi tape is peeling up a bit. But everything I need is at my fingertips.

If you’re one of my more observant readers you noticed that I have not yet bought stamps ūüėä

Tune in tomorrow for some more talk about simplifying your Christmas card routine. Have a wonderful day!
