Scripture Sunday: Jeremiah 29:11

Last week, I shared my first New Years resolution, which is to worry less and remember instead that I have hope in Christ. I used the scripture 1 Peter 1:3 as my memory verse for this.

I also mentioned that I am dealing with some current hardships, and I’m also doing a little Bible study that I’m learning a lot from. My memory verse for this week happens to be one of my favorite verses.

Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
My second New Years resolution is to remember what I am currently dealing with is a part of God’s plan for my life. Even though we may not understand what God is doing, or why, he not only understands it but will use it to make me a better person.

He will use it to give me hope and a future.
