6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians is a tiny book of the Bible, but some of my favorite verses are in that short little chapter. This particular verse spoke to me this week, as I’ve had a lot on my mind and heart and I’ve been praying about various things.
Most of you know I’m at a point in my life where I am trying to balance certain things and repair others. My relationship with the Lord is one of those things- I am a control freak and I’ve been far too focused on my will for far too long, and not enough on His will for my life. I’ve let worry and anxiety take control in areas I can’t fix when I should have been relying on Him to fix. I’m trying harder to pray and listen instead of think and worry.
This week, Phil. 4:6-7 are my memory verses. I’m going to write out this verse and display it where I’ll see it each day and be reminded to pray instead of worry.
Happy Sunday, everyone. Have a wonderful week filled with good things.
