I was raised in church and attended weekly for most of my life. I even attended Christian school for a bit.
But when I got to college, I attended church less and less until one day, I just stopped. I continued this pattern throughout young adulthood: stay up/out late Saturday night, sleep in on Sunday morning, work hard all week, never even open my Bible, lather rinse repeat.
When a friend of ours led us to the church we still attend today, I began to feel God working in my life. Working ON me. Slowly but surely I began to open my heart and listen. I began to “taste and see.”
The Lord was good back then and he’s been really good ever since. I have since met and married a wonderful man. Then, God blessed us with two sweet girls and a home we love. He gave us good jobs that we enjoy and a church family filled with wonderful, kind hearted people. Things haven’t been smooth sailing all the time but he brought us through the hard times too.
I hope you’ll taste and see that the Lord is good. Here’s a cute kitchen printable for you as well.
Have a wonderful week.
