Most of us will admit to using the storage space under our beds. Most of us will admit to using basements and attics in our house for storage. Those are the obvious places, but did you know there are a few sneaky spots you can store things as well?
This one is just for things you don’t often need, like out of season clothes. Don’t put anything up here you need on a regular basis.
2. Your suitcase
When we aren’t using our suitcase for trips, which isn’t very often, we use it to store our other duvet cover and comforter for our bed. These are bulky items that take up lots of space and if we put them on a shelf in our linen closet, they either take up tons of space or keep falling off the shelf.
3. In decorative boxes in plain sight
Do you see the decorative file boxes and the decorative baskets? There are at least six of these things on these shelves. They hold anything from owner’s manuals for appliances, to photographs, to small books, to office supplies.
4. Storage cubes or tall baskets that fit under end tables
These are old pictures of our living room, but if you look under the end tables, you will see some large cubes. They look like this:
One of ours holds home school supplies and the other holds workout gear. Sneaky peaky!
5. Backs of doors and cabinet doors
I don’t have any pictures of my own “back of the door storage,” but here are some examples from around the WWW.
What sneaky storage tactics have you used in your own homes?
