Our Bible study is now almost three weeks in. If you are looking for a positive, encouraging Bible study that still teaches and convicts you, reach for this one. It’s amazing how Nicki Koziarz uses the Book of Ruth to illustrate perseverance and faith. It’s the perfect Bible study for where I am in life right now.

I sleep better and my hair and skin are healthier as well. Plus, I still eat many of the things I’ve always enjoyed, just with modified ingredients. I’m also exercising 30 minutes a day. We eat at home more as well, which has definitely been a game changer.

Week in Review Wednesday

Happy Wednesday to you. Last week felt like fall but now we’re seeing temperatures in the eighties again.  North Carolina has some odd weather, to be sure. It may not feel very fall-ish, but it is at least looking like fall.  Our trees they are a changing.

We are actually in the process of tearing out our flower beds in the front and reworking them. We aren’t sure what we want to plant in the beds, but we are actively looking for ideas.

Miss E had the busiest weekend of all of us.  She went to the State Fair on Friday, to a cookout and party on Saturday, had a play date Saturday, and then had church and Christmas play practice on Sunday. Also on Sunday, we celebrated my father in law’s birthday.

And then this little stinker took a few steps this weekend.

I hope you have a great week!!

Week in Review Wednesday

We had a pretty boring weekend. We had plans to travel to see my grandparents, but one kiddo came down with a virus before Friday even arrived.

Then, my sweet first born caught it as well.

It was not a fun weekend. Everyone is feeling better and is on the mend.

On the bright side, these pretty little flowers climbed up our garden flag pole.

I hope you’re having a good week.

And next weekend will be better.

I hope you’re having a wonderful week.

This week my students came back to school. I am teaching sixth grade for the first time in five years and I’ve moved districts. It’s a big change but it was the right thing to do.

These two sweet and cuddly sisters are making us smile everyday. We are so blessed to be their parents.

Things here are busy but good. We hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Week in review Wednesday

What a rough weekend! Two  of our foursome were hit hard this weekend by some sort of nasty summer cold. I was one of them. We laid around all weekend and really didn’t accomplish anything.

I captured this sweet moment this weekend. I also have a picture of Michael and Emorie napping together when she was a baby. I treasure these pictures because it’s so obvious how much Michael and the girls love each other.

My poor sick baby. Doesn’t she look sweet in her hat?

This little grown up stole my phone and took some selfies!!

And I realized for about the two hundredth time in recent weeks that she is growing up too fast.

And on Sunday, this beautiful double rainbow was visible outside our house.

I hope your week is wonderful.

Week in review Wednesday

What a busy but wonderful week.

We started our weekend by purchasing a big girl booster seat for our kindergartener.

I decided it was time for a change, so I had my nappy waist length hair cut to my shoulders. It looks and feels so. much. better. Thanks, Crystal!

This little cutie has really been tossing out the smiles lately!

On Sunday we went to church and this girl looked so grown:

On Monday, I moved out of the classroom I’ve occupied for the last five years.I am excited about my new journey but will truly miss my friends and the community in which I taught.
I moved my things into my new classroom, which I will begin setting up this week.

I have a busy rest of the week ahead but can’t wait to share all those happenings with you next week! Make it a great one!!

Week in review Wednesday

May I be the first to wish you a happy Wednesday! (name that children’s cartoon).

This has been a busy week. Emorie had open house on Thursday, a playdate on Friday, and Saturday, we went to visit my grandmother. I took this super cute pic of the girls looking out my grandma’s French doors.

My kids have grown so much! Our local coffee shop has a wall where the local kiddies can put their height. Look how much Emorie has grown in two months!

Today, my sweetie pie started kindergarten.

I bet you heard me sobbing the way from California. As much as I hate the fact that she’s growing up, I couldn’t be happier with her teachers. I think she’ll have a wonderful school year.
Aubrey has gone back to her babysitter full time. She turned nine months old this week and is growing so fast. It’s hard to believe she is going to be one soon. Anyone want to fist bump?

Have a blessed week. We will see you next week with some exciting news.

Week in Review Wednesday

Apologies for not posting yesterday. You see, I had something more important to do. Hang out with this girl.

We started our day with breakfast at our favorite coffee shop. Then, we went to the doctor’s office for her kindergarten check up. After that, we went to Chick-fil-A and then to the splash pad at our local YMCA.

We then went to the mall and did a little shopping. This is what happened on the way home.

We had a great day and we made a lot of memories. Thanks for reading!

Week in review Wednesday

We’ve had such a busy week, but it’s been such a great week. For  starters, my husband had a rare three-day weekend, so we  got to spend more time together. These two sweet sisters were extra cuddly this week.

And this little sister was extra smiley 🙂

And extra cute in her sock cap:

And, in support of my efforts to eat healthier, my hubby made my omelet with bell peppers.

Hope you’re having a great week! Come back and see us!
