Upcycling old decor: the pedastal bowl

I have had this pedestal bowl for years.

While I love the shape of it, I just couldn’t seem to make it work with my current decorating themes.

I whipped out my trusty Waverly chalk paint and added a coat of farmhouse white.

Just like most projects, this one certainly has an ugly stage.

But after the second coat, it looked a lot better.

I got out the sandpaper and roughed it up a little.

Then, I added some spring fillers in the form of moss balls and I put it on the sideboard in our office.

Just because something seems like it won’t work doesn’t mean you can’t make it work.

Sometimes all it takes is a little paint.
