Weekend recap: Millstone Creek Orchards
We had a great, but busy weekend around here- Emorie stayed with my parents Friday night, and Michael had to work Saturday morning. I took advantage of the alone time to catch up on some housework. We also had some family come into town from WV this weekend on Saturday, and yesterday, we finally made it out to Millstone Creek.
We’ve been trying to get out there for weeks, but it has either rained or someone has been sick. It’s a good thing we finally went, too- today was the last day for hayrides and pumpkin picking.
Emorie and her daddy really enjoyed the hayride.
It was such a pretty day to go enjoy the orchard, too.
Most of the pumpkins in the patch were rotten or sampled by some local wildlife. Our sweet girl did manage to choose three pumpkins she liked.
I found some neat abandoned buildings and some rusted, decaying farm equipment.
Once she chose her pumpkins, it was time for a snack and some playtime in the kids’ area.
I hope each one of you had a good weekend- we know we certainly did 🙂
