Wordfull Wednesday

This week, we will celebrate Easter.

While our children are thinking about the candy and the Easter basket, and we the adults are worrying about ironing those Easter dresses, let’s not lose sight of why we celebrate Easter.

Have you heard the song “Glorious Day” by the Casting Crowns? I know it’s not exactly a new song but I love it!!

As Christians, we believe Jesus, the Son of God, was crucified as an atonement for the sins of mankind, and buried only to rise again on the third day.

To me, this song embodies what Easter is all about. God loved us so much that he sent his only Son to die as a pardon for our sins. This Easter, let’s remember the real reason for the celebrations: our risen Savior.
